January 2012 PodCast: Staffing the Learning Organization - New Roles & Skills
During our first monthly call of 2012, we explored the roles and skills that learning functions might need as they innovate today to prepare for tomorrow. We featured two guest speakers: Larry Israelite, Vice President of HR Development for Liberty Mutual, and Jill Guardia, Director of Global Sales and Services Enablement for Symantec. With an eye to the future, both shared thoughts on how they would like to staff their own learning teams as well as learning functions in general. Member contacts from GE Healthcare, General Motors, Adobe, Fidelity, CNN and DTCC contributed their own ideas about what skills might benefit learning functions, including some that are “on the fringe” of what organizations normally look for.
